designs, the SMC is basically the same
as the SMB in terms of |

construction,
but replaces the snap-on coupling
mechanism with a threaded interface.
This helps to increase |

its
frequency range to 10 GHz, and makes it
more suitable for applications in
environments where there is a |
|
high
degree of vibration. The SMC is a 50 ohm
connector, and finds its most common
applications in |

Telecommunications
systems. |
